The Feast of Reason at Wagner’s Ring Cycle

A few tickets still available! Email Olivia@thefeastofreason.com to find out more.

You are invited to join the Feast of Reason at the end of June for an extraordinary week of music. We are going to see Wagner’s Ring Cycle at the South Bank Centre, four operas performed by Opera North in their dramatic production for the concert hall, with film projections and atmospheric lighting.

Four evenings and over 15 hours of music and passion, interspersed with short insightful talks from Sandy Burnett of Classic Discovery to help us enjoy and understand Wagner’s work. Plus Feast of Reason cooking to sustain us.

The four interlinked operas in Wagner’s Ring Cycle are Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung. Seeing all four operas in the course of a week is an overpowering and immensely rewarding experience and in the summer of 2016 Opera North gives us the chance to do exactly that, when it brings its highly-praised concert hall production to London’s South Bank.

Performances are 28th June, 29th June, 1st July, and 3rd July 2016.

Here is the complete schedule:

If you would like to come, or find out more, please email me on olivia@thefeastofreason.com. Tickets for the Ring Cycle are now sold out so we anticipate this Feast event will be very popular. I do need to ask for payment in advance and the ticket price is non-refundable though you can of course pass your place onto someone else.

I can’t make all the dates, can I choose which operas to see?
We are selling the Feast of Reason Wagner week as a ‘package’ so there aren’t any options. However you are welcome to give your ticket(s) for a specific evening to someone else, just let me know.

Can you cook for my dietary requirements?
Yes, absolutely, just let me know in advance.

I don’t live in London, can you help me find accommodation?
Yes, we can recommend hotels or AirB&B. I may also be able to provide B&B in her house in Brixton.

I hope you can come! Please email me if you have any more questions.
